Position Description: The Cedarville University Department of Social Work seeks a ranked full-time faculty member to direct our baccalaureate social work program. The Department of Social Work provides a high quality, CSWE-accredited, baccalaureate education that is consistent with a biblical worldview and that prepares well informed, culturally sensitive, competent, generalist social workers, who will provide services to individuals, groups, families, organizations, and communities. The successful candidate must possess leadership and organizational skills and teach six semester hours per semester from courses within the generalist social work curriculum. Primary responsibilities include administration of the social work program. Some classroom teaching, student advising and a commitment to community service are required. The successful candidate must have a strong Christian commitment demonstrated by an ability to integrate a biblical worldview into the practice of social work.

Position Requirements: - M.S.W. from a C.S.W.E. accredited university/ J.D. or Ph.D. in social work or closely related discipline highly preferred - Two years of post M.S.W. experience - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to work as a team member - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Documented successful teaching/research/technical experience in traditional and online environments - Must be familiar with CSWE accrediting standards and the self-study process - Committed to biblical integration in and out of the classroom - Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian - Qualified applicant must agree with and be willing to abide by Cedarville University's doctrinal statement, community covenant and general work place standards
