The University of Arkansas at Little Rock College of Education and Health Professions, School of Counseling, Human Performance and Rehabilitation invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professors in Rehabilitation Counseling (R99496). The expected start date is January 2018.
The Rehabilitation Counseling program is a high enrollment, online CORE accredited Master’s Degree with six full time program faculty members. Responsibilities include developing and teaching online graduate courses in Rehabilitation and/or counseling; advising graduate students; supervising clinical experiences; working cooperatively with rehabilitation organizations and agencies; serving on department, college and university committees; and engaging in other service and research activities.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills; online teaching experience; experience in academic program development helpful; knowledgeable of national trends in Rehabilitation Counseling services; and, grant writing experience.
Required Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling, Rehabilitation, Counseling or a related field. ABD may be considered, though all degree requirements must be completed before employment commences. CRC or Certified Rehabilitation Counselor-eligible.
Preferred Qualifications: Arkansas LPC or eligibility, work experience as a rehabilitation counselor, demonstrated excellence (or potential) in teaching, scholarship, and service.
