This is a 9-month, tenure-track, and Assistant Professors (AP) position. The AP is responsible for course instruction and some course development (BSW, MSW, face-to-face and online), advising students, possible service as a field liaison, activity commensurate with the mission of the University, maintaining service relationships with community agencies/organizations. A commitment to diversity and student success is essential. This position reports to the Dean in the Carver School of Social Work. We seek a creative, innovative, and collaborative faculty member with a commitment to advancing generalist, advanced generalist and clinical social work practice with individuals, families, groups, communities and organizations. The AP will possess an ability to teach in two or more of the following Social Work content areas: direct practice in social work, child and adolescence, clinical practice, school social work, chemical dependency, policy, leadership, diversity or evidence based research. Experience and commitment in the use of technology for distance learning or a willingness to learn and deliver this mode of instruction is a must. While the preferred candidate would be available to teach face to face, as well as online classes, individuals seeking a fully online position will be considered. The qualified applicant will have an appreciation for faith based service and participate in professional development. The qualified applicant will be able to articulate a convincing philosophy for Christian higher education.
Minimum Qualifications: Earned Doctorate in Social Work (ABD will be considered) and a Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE accredited program. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of post MSW practice experience in a practice setting. The applicant must have the ability to teach across the MSW curriculum in the online environment. Candidates seeking fully online positions will be considered for a non-tenured track. Preferred Qualifications: In addition to the minimum requirements, the preferred candidate would have 2 years’ college/university level teaching experience in a regionally accredited MSW or BSW program. The applicant would be available for instructional activities occurring at Campbellsville University, Campbellsville Kentucky, as well as online.
