OCM Administrative Office—Wheaton, IL The Administrative Office houses the Finance, Resource Development, Human Resource, Volunteer Services, Grant Management and Executive offices for Outreach Community Ministries and its divisions: The Outreach Community Center, Wheaton Youth Outreach, Warrenville Youth and Family Services, York Community Resource Center and the Outreach Community Counseling Centers.
The Director of Volunteer Services is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day volunteer operations at Outreach including volunteer recruitment, screening and placement; orientation and training; ongoing volunteer communication and recognition; database management and reporting; and the development of volunteer program policies and procedures. The Director of Volunteer Services leads the agency’s efforts in church relations, collaborates with service division directors and participates on an organization-wide management team.
A passion for the mission of Outreach Community Ministries and the ability to engage and inspire volunteers and volunteer groups around the mission. Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field. At least 5 years of directly related experience and previous experience managing volunteers. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and familiarity with databases; strong written & verbal communication skills; effective project management skills with ability to multi-task and work well with teams. A commitment to Outreach Community Ministries’ Statement of Mission and Faith required.
Full-time at 40-50 hours per week. Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. Some evening and weekend work for meetings, special events and speaking opportunities. Additional Salary Information: Salary for this position falls between $48,900-$57,000 annually based on education, skills and experience.
