Elder Justice Social Worker and Community Educator -MSW
An excellent full time position is available for a social worker at The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Center for Elder Justice, the nation’s first comprehensive shelter for victims of elder abuse, located in the Hebrew Home at Riverdale by RiverSpring Health.
The successful candidate will play an active role in our dynamic multi-disciplinary team; interact with shelter clients providing ongoing supportive social work and case management services; respond to referrals of elder abuse and coordinate and provide outreach and training of elder abuse educational programs. This individual must demonstrate initiative; have a strong work ethic, commitment to elder justice and dedication to the older adult populations.
Masters in Social Work required. Experience in elder abuse and/or domestic violence preferred. Grant writing skills highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and candidate will administer validated screening tool to assess for elder abuse.
