Administratively responsible for Financial Services, Decision Support, Patient Access (I/P, O/P, ED), Case Management/Social Work, Case Management/Social Work, Materials Management, Information Technologies and the Health Information Management Departments.
Directs the hospital activities concerned with general business operations, accounting, statistical reporting and third-party reimbursement.
Prepares detailed financial statements, budgets, cost and statistical reports. Responsible for the preparation and review of departmental operating reports and budgets.
Develops pro forma financial projections for capital purchases and projects; for business development opportunities; and for expense management opportunities. Responsible for financial oversite of embedded 200 Physician Faculty Practice.
Studies industry trends and works with national/state associations to determine future healthcare trends and financial impacts.
Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, required. CPA and/or MBA preferred. At least three (3) years' experience in Public Accounting and/or (10) ten years related experience in hospital field.
