Mental Health America of East Central Florida (MHAECFL) in Daytona Beach, Florida is seeking a dynamic, experienced Presidetn & CEO to manage all aspects of this nonprofit provider of community mental health services. The CEO/Executive Director reports directly to a Board of Directors and is responsible for overseeing the operation, financial performance, programs, and strategic plan of the organization.
As one of more than 200 affiliates of Mental Health America (https://www.mhanational.org/), MHAECFL provides an opportunity to become part of the network of one of the nation’s top rated charities. The CEO will be called upon to build the MHA brand on the local level, organize MHAECFL for greater success, and expand the services and advocacy impact of the organization, making a difference in the lives of people diagnosed with mental illness. The President and CEO is responsible for the executive direction of MHA of East Central FL and its staff and functions as a community leader on mental health and wellness.

Responsibilities ad Duties
Transform MHA of ECFL to expand services offered compelling value proposition for funders
Serve as the chief spokesperson for the MHA of ECFL before a wide array of audiences, including but not limited to: the media; current and potential funders; local and state, and decision-makers in and outside of the mental health field
Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the association’s mission and objectives, and supervise staff recruitment, training and performance evaluations.
Manage annual MHA expenditures within budget and oversee all programs
Grow the total revenue of the organization by maintaining an awareness of external funding opportunities and other revenue generating opportunities
Evaluate programs and operations at periodic intervals to improve services and operations resulting in an organization that is run efficiently and cost effectively
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience successfully managing an organization or large program.
Mental health and human service administration experience required.
Successful experience in grant writing and fund raising.
Knowledgeable about mental and substance use disorders.
Knowledgeable of the concepts of client empowerment and recovery.
