The Social Work Program Director will direct the Social Work Program in the area of CSWE Accreditation reaffirmation. The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the field of social work and have teaching competence to teach courses in Social Welfare Policy, Ethnic Diversity, Spirituality and Social Work, Ethics and Practice and other general social work courses. The Director will advise student in academic program and career objective and engage student recruitment, retention, and programs development. The Director will perform tasks related to assessment of student learning, serve on faculty committees ,as assigned, and serve as a spiritual model through a Christian lifestyle. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the university mission of preparing individuals for a life of service in the church and in the world. There is also the expectation that the Director be a collegial member of a dynamic, interactive faculty and participate in commencement and the life of the university. The Director will as a full time faculty person teach an equivalent of a 9-credit course load per semester including advising students with 3-hour release time for administrative tasks needed for directing the program.
Must have a MSW from a CSWE accredited program and two years as a full-time post-MSW assistant professor
Preference given to candidates with a DSW or PhD in Social Work
Preference gent to candidates with teaching experience on the university level
Experience in successful leadership of a social work program is preferred
Must be supportive of the ethos and doctrine of the Assemblies of God
