Under the supervision of the Medical Director and Department Director, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physicianï¿½s orders, and department policies and procedures.
Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities) ï¿½ Must be able to work independently ï¿½ Must be able to communicate effectively ï¿½ Must be able to work under critical care stress ï¿½ Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy
Required Licenses/Certifications: ï¿½ Current FL State Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist License. ï¿½ Current CPR/BLS & ACLS Certification at time of hire ï¿½ PALS Certification preferred ï¿½ NRP required only if working in NBN/NICU areas
Language Skills: ï¿½ Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) in English. ï¿½ Ability to write legibly (Clinical Areas).
