Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing speech therapy evaluations and treatments in accordance with the established hospital and departmental policies and procedures and under the guidelines of the board of professional regulations and the speech therapy practice act. Education.
M.A. or M.S Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Graduated from an accredited school of Speech Therapy,
Required licensures/certifications
Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology
Certified by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association
Licensed in the State of Florida.
Current American Heart Association BLS
Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills
Experience
Knowledge of the principles and applications of Speech Therapy evaluations and treatments. Capability to evaluate and assess the patient�s condition. Knowledge of Infection Control, and Body Mechanics Techniques to be applied during patient care. Previous Speech Therapist experience is needed for Per Diem.
