Wheaton Youth Outreach is a community-based youth and family resource center serving the greater Wheaton area. Services include counseling for individuals, couples and families, crisis intervention for runaway and homeless teens, casework services for basic needs, and transitional housing for young women.
The Lead Clinical Case Manager leads the Clinical Care Team in a transitional housing program, to provide supportive housing to young adults and help them launch into independent, productive lives. Responsibilities include:
Engage and assess homeless youth to plan appropriate interventions needed for future success and independent living with each other.
Supervises and develops Host Family Homes within the community to offer more housing options for homeless young adults.
Work with at-risk homeless youth and young adults in the community to assist with basic needs and steps toward a more secure future.
Supervision of case management services and financial assistance for adults.
This position reports to the Director of Wheaton Youth Outreach and participates as a member of the broader transitional housing and Wheaton Youth Outreach staff teams.
Full-time. Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30 pm. Occasional evenings and weekends to meet client needs.
MSW or MA in Counseling Psychology (or related field); licensure required; 5+ years of experience working with homeless or at-risk-youth; demonstrated success in clinical work; a passion for guiding young adults to envision a successful future; ability to develop effective relationships with participants and outside service providers; attention to detail; strong team orientation with high-level collaboration skills. IL Driver’s license, reliable transportation and good driving required. Proficiency in MS Excel/ Outlook/ Word. A commitment to OCM’s Statement of Mission & Faith. (Spanish/English) skills a plus.
