Speech Therapist Inpatient Rehab Per Diem Days

Summary

The Speech Therapist is responsible for the administration, interpretation and evaluation of tests and measurements. The Speech Therapist plans and modifies treatment programs. The Speech Therapist works with neonatal through geriatric patients with clinical competency, as applicable. The Speech Therapist completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

• Masters Degree inSpeech Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders
• No previous work experience necessary. After completion of 3 full years/beginning of 4th year may be eligible for Speech Language Pathologist Level II.
• Preferred: Competency in performing Modified Barium Swallow Exams

Required Certifications/Licensure

• New Graduates: Possession of Intern License from the state of Texas prior to orientation
• All Others: Possession of Texas State License and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA)

Required Courses/Completions (e.g., CPR)

BLS-Obtained thru approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network
