The incumbent has broad Program Coordinator responsibilities for the Mental Health Clinics (MHC) of the VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS) Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). These include Fort Meade, Glen Burnie, Loch Raven, Eastern Baltimore County, Cambridge and Pocomoke. The CBOC MHC Coordinator has broad oversight of the day to day operations of the MHCs, oversees consult management, and coordinates resources with the CBOC site managers. The Mental Health Clinic Program Coordinator Social Worker is responsible for the development and delivery of a full range of clinical mental health services in the Loch Raven VA Medical Center MHC. These services include psycho-diagnostics and other assessment, individual, group, marital, and family psychotherapy, development of individual treatment plans, utilization of specialized approaches with groups, triage and referral, as well as numerous other skills available to the experienced clinical social worker. As the CBOC MHC Coordinator, the incumbent oversees the day to day functioning of all multidisciplinary personnel assigned to the CBOCs in all administrative aspects of service delivery. This includes leading MHC treatment and administrative team meetings and keeping administrative minutes of all meetings. The incumbent is also responsible for ongoing in-service training of MHC personnel. Manages CBOC MHC consults. The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing all consults and assigning new and returning patients to treatment providers for psychotherapy and medication management. Assists the Manager with clinical chart reviews and Performance Improvement data and projects. Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and other survey standards for both clinical and Environment of Care rounds. The incumbent is a licensed, privileged, and credentialed member of the Medical Staff who is an experienced, and skilled clinician. S/he provides direct patient care as needed including, but not necessarily limited to assessments, and a full range of evidence-based psychotherapy treatments (individual/group psychotherapy, couples and family psychotherapy).
