Summary Under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing speech therapy evaluations and treatments in accordance with the established hospital and departmental policies and procedures and under the guidelines of the board of professional regulations and the speech therapy practice act. The Speech Therapist Maintains the highest degree of quality patient care at all times.
Education M.A. or M.S Degree in Speech Language Pathology Graduated from an accredited school of Speech Therapy
Required Licensures/Certifications Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology Certified by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association Licensed in the State of Florida for this Speech Therapist role Current American Heart Association BLS
Skills and Abilities Excellent communication skills
Experience Knowledge of the principles and applications of Speech Therapy evaluations and treatments Capability to evaluate and assess the patientâ��s condition Knowledge of Infection Control, and Body Mechanics Techniques to be applied during patient care Previous Speech Therapist experience is needed for Per Diem
Experience with swallow studies highly desired
Per Diem Day Shifts, may include some weekend hours
