The incumbent serves as the Local Recovery Program Coordinator (LRC) and is administratively and clinically responsible for the LRC program at the Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks, located in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Incumbent manages the daily operations of the programs and directs the patient care services of these programs. Incumbent develops and implements policies and procedures pertinent to all aspects of the recovery programs and prepares reports and statistics for the facility. If you are not a current, permanent VHA or Federal Employee, you should apply under announcement: CBST-11163514-21-AH Duties may include but are not limited to: Provides broad range of direct clinical social work services including casework, assessment, counseling, education, outreach, and referral support of veterans who are patients of Mental Health Service. Facilitates optimal team functioning through communication and ongoing working relationships with all services, administrative personnel, and support services. Functions as a champion and advocate for the recovery model of care, serves as recovery ombudsman to the Mental Health Service Chief, Program Managers, and staff on recovery and implementation of recovery oriented services. Develops a 3-5 years plan for the facility that identifies staged implementation for coordinating the evaluation of recovery at the facility level and reports results to the National Recovery Coordinator (NRC). Implements measures to assess recovery policy and procedure adherence, as well as, assess that the recovery model is embodied in mental health programs. Develops an ongoing education plan for veterans and families, which includes but is not limited to: recurrent didactic presentations about recovery by experts, recurrent presentations by recovering individuals, especially veterans, and provides information about VA and community mental health support groups and other resources. Serves as a consultant to a variety of Mental Health programs and recovering veterans in development of peer support groups, consumer counseling, and consumer operated services, as per local needs and resources. Advises the Chief of Mental Health Service on filling peer specialist positions and serves as consultation to peer specialists. Assists with VA regional or local recovery oriented trainings, meetings, or conferences as needed. Provides annual report on implementation progress to the VISN Recovery Coordinator and the National Recovery Coordinator. Organizes, directs, supervises, and administers all aspects of recovery services; this includes allocation of resources and personnel to assure seamless array of programs and services while achieving efficient utilization, and superior customer service.
