This position is posted as a Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Social Worker, RN and Psychiatrist. The Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (Self-Directed Care Manager) supervises a group of employees performing work at various GS levels up to their own grade level and provides administrative, technical, and clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the program. Additional duties may include: Perform the administrative and personnel management function relative to staff supervised; Observe workers' performance; demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques; Develop work improvement plans, recommending personnel actions as necessary; Provide advice and counsel to workers related to work and administrative matters; Responsible for developing and individual targets for the individuals to work towards to ensure the most effective use of each staff within their assigned areas; Perform work related to the review, monitoring, analysis, planning and assessment of various programs; Hold regular meetings with the assigned personnel to ensure employee engagement and increase overall MHICC employee satisfaction; Provision of direct clinical services as determined by the needs of the service/facility in accordance with VA Directive 1161, in addition, with guidance from VHA Handbook 1065.01, Appendix B; Other duties as assigned.
