Position Summary
This position provides clinical assessment, therapeutic interventions, care coordination, transition planning and emotional support to patients and families at PCH as an independently licensed social worker. Participates as an interdisciplinary team member providing interventions with the patient/family that include a range of care from bio-psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, crisis interventions, coordination of care, bereavement support, and transition/discharge planning. The position requires knowledge of family systems and interpersonal dynamics/relationships and is able to use that knowledge to assist patients and families in achieving therapeutic goals. Knowledge of mandated reporter responsibilities; use of financial, community and other resource networks; coordination with DCS, Police jurisdictions, and other governmental authorities; ability to advocate with outside systems; and, collaborate with medical staff. The position may provide individual, group, family therapeutic interventions for an assigned caseload and bill independently for those services. The position is responsible for implementation of patient treatment assignments, management of open patient records, and for collaborating with outside referral sources as applicable. May provide clinical supervision if approved by the Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
Education
- Masters' degree from an accredited school in the field of social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology or related behavioral health field. (Required)
Experience
- Child Protection experience. (Preferred)
- Three years post-Masters social work experience in a health or behavioral health care setting. (Preferred)
- Pediatric social work experience. (Preferred)
Certifications
- Current AZ license conferred by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Professional Counselor; and/or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. (Required)
- Must be eligible to be added to relevant insurance panels. (Required)
- CPR/First Aid and CPI training or the ability to obtain at hire. (Preferred)
- Valid AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) Fingerprint Clearance Card (Required)
