Position Summary:
The Mental Health Technician (MHT) functions as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary treatment team responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for psychiatric patients and assist with the provision of basic patient care and recovery needs under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The MHT provides and documents interventions in a variety of modalities individually matched to the needs of each patient. The incumbent provides group as well as individual interaction with patients receiving inpatient psychiatric treatment in adherence with established treatment guidelines and agency policies and procedures.

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or any other human services field requiredTwo (2) years of inpatient Behavioral Health experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's DegreeOne (1) year of direct patient care experience preferredMust obtain Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor registration within 60 days of hire unless a higher credential is heldMust obtain a Nursing Assistant Registered or C.N.A. prior to start dateBasic Life Support Health Care Provider card through American Heart Association
