About the PositionResponsible for assisting consumers in obtaining and maintaining competitive employment in the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice Assists consumers in developing and attaining vocational goals in coordination with treatment team members Locates and develops employment opportunities in the community Provides long term support for program participants Maintains consumer records in keeping with State, County, DVR and Center guidelines and regulations Participate in staffing, consultations and planning activities relating to consumers' treatment Provide required documentation to Human resources DepartmentPosition RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team approach, according respect to others based on knowledge and experience as well as discipline.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences from an accredited college or university preferred and 1+ years' experience providing vocational rehabilitation services or working with chronically mentally ill adults or related population; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certificates, Licenses, or RegistrationsValid Washington driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurer; must qualify for Registered Agency Affiliate Status.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee must be able to transport self to consumer residences, and around the community. Consumer care delivery may involve lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, and stooping requiring upper body strength. Lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required without assistance.
