Responsibilities Provides appropriate clinical supervision to GLMH clinicians preparing for licensure. Quality: Provides efficient and effective supervision to clinicians that is specific, appropriate, and required for licensure by the Department of Health (DOH). Timeliness: Maintains sufficient schedule of appointments to supervised assigned clinicians. Ensures that all clinical supervision and administrative documentation, written and online, is completed in a thorough, accurate, timely and clinically appropriate manner.
Knowledge and Skills A knowledge of and ability to provide meaningful and effective clinical supervision to staff preparing for their licensure. Excellent knowledge of mental disorders Familiarity with the DSM-V and competency in accurate diagnoses. Knowledge of the major components of a mental status examination and competency in performing on-going assessments. Knowledge of treatment planning Knowledge of psychotropic medications. Sound clinical skills and a high degree of professionalism. An awareness of substance abuse/dependence issues. A thorough knowledge of community resources. Well-developed skills in managing time, priorities, and paperwork. A sensitive perception of the needs of individuals. A keen understanding of the importance of clear, professional boundaries, and maintenance of such. Possession of proven teamwork skills and clinical supervision skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills, and demonstration of good, common sense.
Education and/or Experience Master's degree in a mental health related field plus two years of mental health experience under the direction of a Mental Health Professional (MHP) and must be a recognized Mental Health Professional as defined in WAC 246-341-0200/RCW 71.05.020. There are multiple positions providing this service to clinicians employed by Greater Lakes. Must be an LICSW and be an approved clinical supervisor as defined by Washington State. #LI-JG1
