The Compensation Analyst and Inpatient Provider Liaison will be responsible for calculating physician compensation and bonuses, analyzes physician production, and prepares ad hoc analyses for the various Medical Groups engaged with PIH Health Physicians (PHP). This position will administer the financial components of the Professional Services Agreement (PSA) between these groups and PHP and lead periodic and annual Independent Fair Market Value studies commissioned by PHP. Additionally, this role will interact with inpatient physician based departments to improve charge capture and coordination. As a key member of the Decision Support team, the Physician Compensation Analyst and Inpatient Provider Liason will also work across the organization supporting daily operational reporting and analysis of key performance metrics in support of the PIH Health’s initiatives and goals by synthesizing data from multiple sources into clear, meaningful decision making tools.
Strong working knowledge of the ambulatory health care industry; exceptional analytical abilities; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and database structures; and experience with financial and data modeling to support organizational decision making, annual planning cycle and HMO contract negotiations.
Must be a self-starter with excellent problem- solving and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and be flexible when priorities change. Experience with accounting software & budgeting systems and healthcare applications, including practice management and managed care systems. Demonstrated excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong work ethic, professional attitude, and attention to detail.
Required:
Formal training will be indicated by a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field; minimum five years’ experience in data management and healthcare/financial analysis in Accounting, Finance or Decision Support departments, preferably in a managed care healthcare environment.
Preferred:
Five plus years of healthcare accounting and/or finance experience preferred. Experience with physician compensation models preferred.
