DescriptionLifepoint Behavioral Health is seeking a passionate, creative and goal-oriented Business Development and Admission Coordinator to join the team at the behavioral health unit located in Riverside Medical Center. We specialize in compassionate behavioral health services, including crisis stabilization for acute mental health and substance use disorders. Summary:
Develop and implement effective marketing plan for achieving budgeted census, patient mix, referral, and contact objectives timely and appropriately.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain appropriate statistics and generate report(s) as required by the facility hospital's policy and procedures in addition to the Facility CEO/Director of Growth and Development..
- Communicate with physicians/discharge planner/social worker/other referral sources as needed effectively.
- Conduct sale's calls on existing and potential referral sources to maintain a constant flow of referrals and perform problem solving as necessary. Actively identify and follow-up on opportunities to increase profitability, efficiency and market share.
- Follow - up on internal and external problem(s) as related to referral/admission process to ensure rapid solutions. Maintain knowledge of and effectively promotes programs and internal resources.
- Assist with updating, revising, formulating related policies and procedures with assistance from Facility CEO as appropriate.
- Review and provide written analysis of denial tracking on a monthly basis to Facility CEO and recommend plan of action.
- Develop and maintain system and/or procedure to increase and maximize inpatient to outpatient conversion rate.
- Review and provide written analysis of referrals and admissions by Medical Director, Hospital, and payer source with recommendation and action plan. Monthly review and analysis of marketing contacts with recommendations and action plan. Monitor and assist with admission/discharge procedure.
- Effectively, ethically, and professionally promote Kindred Behavioral Health at conventions, seminars, professional meetings. Maintain membership in and regularly attend meetings of behavioral health organizations, insurance groups, and related professional organizations. Maintain and promote good public relation(s) with community by actively participating in opportunities to promote and market Kindred Behavioral Health Services.
- Actively schedule and conduct presentations and tours of the facility/unit to referral sources, professionals, and family members. Participate in community activities that promote the facility/unit service(s). Ensure consistent marketing of facility is implemented - this is including newspaper advertisement, television advertisement, social media presence etc.
- Perform training and supervisory duties to ensure team building and people development.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Approximate percent of time required to travel: 75% within service area.
QualificationsEducation:
- Bachelor's degree in related field with related communications/marketing experience. Master's Degree with Clinical Licensure is preferred.
Licenses/Certification: Clinical licensure preferred, i.e. LCSW, LMFT, LPC, RN
Experience:
- Three to five years of full time work as a marketing representative, nurse liaison, or public relations experience is required.
