The HUD-VASH Program is a partnership between the VA and HUD that is designed to help break the cycle of homelessness among Veterans. In this program, the VA Case Managers provide intensive case management and psychosocial services to chronically homeless and/or disabled Veterans and HUD provides a Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), also known as a Section 8 voucher, to supplement housing costs. The incumbent in this position functions as a Case Manager for St. Louis VA Health Care System's HUD-VASH Program. The HUD-VASH Program falls within the Healthcare for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) Programs of the Mental Health Service.
