About the PositionThe Receptionist works as the support staff and provides routine clerical functions to meet staff and client needs - routing calls, relying messages, scheduling; greeting the public as well as clients and other duties as assigned.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. The evening receptionist position is responsible for answering main phone and triaging calls, welcoming and directing family, visitors, vendors and staff. They are the first point of contact and impacts the communities impression of Navos. Most importantly, they are notified when responders are needed and open the locked doors, key the elevator to the appropriate floor and provide patient face sheets as requested; saving valuable time of the responders and allowing floor staff to remain on the floor addressing the situation. This position also monitors the cameras and alerts staff or security to any concerning observations or clients possibly eloping. When new admissions arrive, they call the floor and learn where admit is going, key elevator to first floor, open locked doors and key transport team to floor. Assists with court services in completing documents and uploading requested information. Is the position that receives court results of patients and updates EMR of LR status; alerting floor who updates status on whiteboard. Completes Admit packets and keeps supply of packets stocked at all times for staff. Responsible for printing, ordering forms and assembling admission packets. Prints and assembles patient handbook. Prepares patient envelop for admit packet that contains information pamphlet and valuable safe bag.Manages anything to do with the doors - opening for visitors and vendors, lockouts during patients going for fresh air breaks, etc. Provides admin support to staff such as laminating, printing, or copying as requested.Position RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to multi-task and work well under stress. Maintains good customer service at all times. Comfortable working in a mental health clinic environment.
