About the Position:The Program Manger is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program, and is to be actively involved in the interdisciplinary treatment planning and treatment delivery for the consumers. The Program Manager provides clinical services, staff supervision, training and consultation, community linkages as necessary, and serves as a liaison between the team and the Director. Other attributes include: good organizational skills; a commitment to a multidisciplinary whole person team approach to treatment and care for consumers; the ability to interact with and supervise team members in a collaborative manner; the ability to interact with consumers with sensitivity, tact and respect; solid knowledge of theories of human behavior, personality development and psychological and physical causes of mental disorders; knowledge of principles and techniques of group and individual therapy, and experience providing same; ability to represent the agency to the community in a professional manner; ability to communicate with families and outside agencies with clarity, sensitivity and tact; familiarity with Washington Administrative Code regulations and professional standards governing the treatment of mentally ill consumers. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position directly supervises mid-level supervisors and/or line staff within the team. This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.Education and/or Experience:Master's degree in one of the Behavioral Sciences from an accredited program; Approved Supervisor Status is preferred but not required; at least 5 years experience in the provision of clinical services to the mentally ill; at least 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred but not required; must meet Geriatric Mental Health Specialist requirements.Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:LMHC, or LMFT, or LICSW; GMHSComputer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products like Outlook, Word and Excel.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be engaged in pushing, pulling, twisting, and stooping requiring upper and lower body strength, and in lifting up to 10lbs without assistance.Work Environment:The work environment involves office work as well as some community work.
