Baylor University seeks to fill the Fuller Family Endowed Chair for Social Justice, to start August 2024.
This endowed faculty position is at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor within the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work, with a commitment to the educational preparation of social workers, a substantial scholarship program with a focus on social justice for marginalized populations, and the ability to connect their research with congregations and/or religious organizations.
Candidates should possess an earned doctorate in social work or a related discipline, an enthusiasm for the mission of the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work, an active Christian or Jewish faith, and a rigorous research agenda that focuses on elements of social justice for marginalized populations. Preference is given to candidates presenting a record of effective teaching, an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, and a minimum of two years post-master’s professional experience and evidence for established and diverse research funding.
