Schedule: Full-time; Monday – Friday 7:30 am to 4 pm - 10-month school year position 

Location:  UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks Therapeutic Day School, 43 E Stevenson Drive, Glendale Heights, IL

The role you’ll contribute:

 

Provides therapeutic psychological counseling in therapeutic day school setting (grades 3 through 12).  

 

The value you’ll bring to the team:

 

•       Assesses a student’s psychological status and provides appropriate interventions and treatments.

•       Collaborates with other clinical and ancillary services to provide appropriate psychological therapy for student. Refers students to other disciplines for consult and evaluations as indicated.

•       Provides psychological expertise and education to multidisciplinary team. Acts as resource to other disciplines.

•       Communicates complex/sensitive information to students and school team.

•       Administers and interprets psychological tests used for diagnosing mental and personality disorders and differentiating between organic and functional cases of behavior disorders.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•       Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) required.

•       At least one year of related-experience in school setting required.

•       At least one year of leadership experience required.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION:

·       Licensed in State of Illinois as a Clinical Psychologist required.
