Thrive for the People offers a vibrant, thriving, and busy workplace. This is a process-oriented, relational, and emotionally focused group practice. We have a team of exceptional therapists and administrative staff to meet the needs of our diverse clients.
We are looking for a full-time, fully licensed therapist (PhD, PsyD, LICSW, LMFT, LMHC) with specialties in treating trauma and working with couples. The therapist will maintain a caseload of at least 20 clinical hours a week, and at least half of the caseload will be with couples. This is an hourly W-2 position.
The ideal candidate is a clinician who loves providing depth-oriented, emotionally focused individual and couples therapy, who enjoys establishing strong relationships with colleagues, and who is motivated to fill up their caseload through marketing and networking. Some of the marketing and networking events will require working in the evenings and on weekends (e.g., tabling at community events, hosting live workshops, etc.).
This is a partially remote and partially in-office position. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide services in their home office and at our Ballard office.
Clinicians who are pursuing their own private practice alongside group practice with Thrive for the People will not be a good fit for this position.
This practice values social justice and anti-oppression and strongly encourages individuals who identify as LGBTQ and/or persons of color to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities:
See a minimum of 20 client hours a week, and at least half of the caseload will be with couples
Maintain a high retention rate for clients, an average of at least 20 sessions per client after the first 3 initial sessions
Timely documentation within 48 hours; maintain client files that are accurate and up to date
Attend individual supervision and weekly team meeting
Actively participate in marketing and networking opportunities to fill your own caseload and bring referrals for the practice
Maintain licensure and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics
Required Qualifications:
Align with the values of this group practice
Masters or doctoral degree in psychology, mental health, or social work
Active, unrestricted license (e.g., PhD, PsyD, LICSW, LMFT, LMHC) in the State of Washington
Specialize in treating trauma and working with couples
Complete Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy Level 1 training within 3 months of hire
Commitment toward social justice and anti-oppression
Access to technology and privacy at home to provide online therapy
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
Theoretical orientation that supports depth-oriented and relational work
Value continued supervision and clinical consultation for feedback and opportunities to grow
Committed to working in a group practice for long term
Must have legal authorization to work within the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated skills in marketing and networking, cultivate and maintain referral sources, and bring in referrals for both yourself and the practice
Training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy Level 1 and 2
Theoretical orientation includes Psychodynamic, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems, Life Span Integration, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, Health at Every Size, Psychodrama
