Social Worker - Outpatient Substance Abuse Clinic (OSAC)
The Outpatient Substance Abuse Clinic (OSAC) Social Worker is assigned to Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences organizationally. As a member of the OSAC interdisciplinary team, work is based in the Miami VA Healthcare System at the main medical center. The main area of responsibility is Miami-Dade, but includes Broward and Monroe counties in Florida as necessary. The Miami OSAC Mental Health Social Worker uses sound clinical judgment in making decisions and initiating action and performs duties independently or with moderate supervision/consultation with the Miami OSAC Treatment Team, reporting to the Miami OSAC Mental Health and Behavioral Science Services medical director. He/she consults with the team to which he/she is assigned and/or with the medical director about complex or unusual
